Michelle Jacobs

Michelle Jacobs has a 24 year track record of business development, facilitation,  training, consulting and talks.  Her clients are leaders in their fields across several industries, from banking, financial and insurance to telecommunications, retail and NGO's.  Michelle's wide range of talk and training themes stems from her deep background in corporate project management, business development and creative team development, areas of expertise since 1993.

While Michelle experienced early and continued career successes, she also encountered typical high-performer consequences along the way too: burn-out, disillusionment and loss of direction.  After much soul searching and a long personal walk to freedom, she has emerged stronger and softer than before, authentic and genuine in her wisdom and story-telling, and more confident in the solutions she has discovered and loves to share with others in her everyday life, talks and trainings.

Some of her business highlights include project managing the first African Project Management Symposium (1994), setting up two successful companies in her twenties, being a Cosmopolitan Mover and Shaker nominee and an AVA Award winner for her SA Express programme, an arts-based entrepreneurial and self development approach she pioneered for CIDA City Campus and Wesbank Auto, and being selected as the top international trainer two years consecutively when she trained "Manager as Facilitator" at the Singapore Institute of Management.  These cross-cultural and international experiences have given Michelle plenty of depth with a wide range of audiences and participants, from CEO's to specialist teams to shop floor assistants and more.  She continues to receive positive testimonials and repeat business from the diverse range of clients she works with.

Her speciality topics are drawn from the fields of creativity, innovation, facilitation, entrepreneurship, project management and arts-based health and wellness practices for professional and personal balance, truth, power, strength, resilience, authenticity, hope, joy, health and wellbeing.  This includes talks and training on stress reduction and mindfulness methods that can enhance leadership and management styles and ability, and build capability, confidence and morale among teams and staff members.

Her style is always engaging, interactive and relevant, enabling high audience impact and tangible, powerful outcomes aligned to client brief.

Michelle is available to facilitate, train and give impactful transformative talks to audiences of any size.  She travels from Johannesburg, South Africa, and is available to work internationally.  Encounters can be 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour long for express and power talks.  Mini workshops can be designed from 1 to 2 to 3 hours each. All services are available on-site at your venue of choice for busy teams not able to leave the office or spend too long off key projects and pressing priorities at work.

When Michelle is not working she can be found reading, painting, travelling or enjoying the birdsong and sounds of the herd of horses who live around her, on the outskirts of Johannesburg's leafy suburbs.  She is currently in research and proposal stage of her master degree in Organisational Psychology, with a focus on health and wellbeing practices, including the use of technology and arts-based methods, within South African organisations and in particular, women and entrepreneurship.
